Welcome to CITA Rescue Mission Helping the Homeless

Welcome to CITA Rescue Mission's up and coming new webpage. Please be patient with us while we are currently working on our new website. Any input that you may have would be appreciated. Please send input to citarescuemission@gmail.com. Thank you and may the Lord bless you.

CITA Rescue Mission was founded by a man named Johnny Ellison. His heart for the homeless was so large that his life was given to the aid of those who are mostly neglected or at there worst time in their lives. Johnny would invite these men over and provide them with a place to stay while aiding them on the road to recovery and most importantly of all he would tell them of the good news of Jesus Christ. Through Johnny's hard work and effort the Lord paved the way for CITA Rescue Mission to be born in 1969 in a two story house on the beautiful Indian river. We are now a two story dormatory that can house up to 70 men. We at CITA want to help the homeless out in any way possible for us, however it is not our intent to aid them in being homeless but rather to aid them in getting back on their feet and being self sufficient. In while aiding our men who stay here it is our main objective that these men hear the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and that one day if the Lord wills they might be saved.
